The itinerary of Palace on Wheels, more or less,
remains fixed. The train covers seven cities in a journey of seven
days and seven nights. The cities covered include Delhi, Jaipur,
Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ranthambore, Udaipur and Agra. At the same time,
the day of departure is also fixed to be Wednesday. The train leaves
Delhi on Wednesday and comes back on next Wednesday (early morning).

Day 01: Delhi
Delhi is the base station for the travel journey aboard the
magnificent Palace on Wheels. The train starts from the Safdarjung
Railway station in New Delhi, precisely at 16:00 hrs (4:0 pm). On
arrival, the guests are given a traditional Indian welcome and
thereafter, Palace on Wheels starts on a journey of some of the best

Day 02: Jaipur
The first stop of the Palace on Wheels is the Pink City of Jaipur.
Founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727 AD, the city is based on the
Hindu treatise, Shilp Shastra. Jaipur, bounded on three sides by
rugged hills, was the first planned city of its time. More
Day 03:Jaisalmer
After Jaipur, the next halt of the Palace on Wheels will be in
Jaisalmer, one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan. Rawal
Jaisal, a Bhatti Rajput ruler, founded the city in 1156 AD. The
marvelous fort, the splendid havelis and the rich culture of
Jaisalmer is bound to make you fall in love with the city. More
Day 04: Jodhpur
On the fourth day, the Palace on Wheels will reach the Sun City of
Rajasthan i.e., Jodhpur. Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan,
laid down the foundation of the city in the year 1459. Divided into
two parts by a wall, Jodhpur boasts of mesmerizing landscape. More

The fifth day will be reserved for a trip to Sawai Madhopur,
Ranthambore National Park and the Chittorgarh Fort. Situated around
14 km from Sawai Madhopur, Ranthambore is your best bet for watching

Day 06: Udaipur
The sixth day of the journey will be reserved for visiting Udaipur,
known as the Venice of the East. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II
in 1568, the city is home to a large number of lakes. Therefore, it
is sometimes referred to as 'The City of Lakes' also. More
Day 07: Agra
The seventh and last day of the journey on Palace on Wheels will be
spent in Bharatpur, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra. Agra, the city of Taj,
is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Apart from
